Sigríður Ásgeirsdóttir holds a BA in gender and ethnography from the University of Iceland and an MA in Cultural and Creative Industries from King’s College London. She started her career at the Icelandic Centre for Research working on educational, youth and cultural grant programmes for the EU.
For the past three years she has worked as a freelancer focusing on event management and PR for companies and festivals.
She is a lecturer and a thesis supervisor at the Iceland University of Arts where she focuses on teaching a gendered approach to design and sustainability in the fashion industry, as well as being a member of Lady Brewery, a female-led microbrewery based in Reykjavík, Iceland.
As a side career, she is a dancer and fitness instructor and has worked for studios in Reykjavik and London.
