Þórey Björk Halldórsdóttir (1982) worked as a costume and stage designer for theater alongside her studies before graduating as a fashion designer from the Iceland University of the Arts in 2006. After graduation she designed for the fashion house Peter Jensen in London, founded fashion label “Eight of Hearts”, the design market “PopUp Verzlun” and the online fashion store “Worn by Worship” as well as working as a stylist for various magazines and retailers.
She has received numerous grants and accolades for her work, and was on the board of the Icelandic Association of Fashion Design 2012 – 2014. Þórey has been an art director and event organizer for various companies and organisations.
Today Þórey Björk is a CEO and co-founder of Lady Brewery (2017), a female-led microbrewery in Iceland while also running the creative studio And Anti Matter where she is art director and designer.
