You can check online to see if you need an entry visa to visit Iceland. Iceland is within the Schengen area.
If you require a visa, it is recommended you apply for one at least six weeks before you travel. We can provide you with an invitation letter upon request after you have registered for RIPE 78.
You may require a transit visa if you are travelling to Iceland via a country that is not within the Schengen area. Your airline should be able to provide you with transit visa information where required.
Where you can apply for a visa
Icelandic embassies do not issue visas, with the exception of the embassies in Beijing and Moscow.
You can find a list of Embassies and Consulates issuing visas on behalf of Iceland on the Icelandic Directorate of Immigration website.
